Joey Nicoletti

is a Cleveland-based singer/actor and is so excited to be a part of the JMMD team!From a young age, Joey had a musical ear and wanted to dive head-first into the world of Musical Theatre. He received his BFA in Musical Theatre from Ohio Northern University in 2018, and upon graduation began working as the music director for Hawks Cay Resort in Marathon, Florida. While there, Joey worked with the other performers to create set lists for live entertainment, individually coached/accompanied singers on new material, created new arrangements for a four-part vocal ensemble, and performed in several shows/live sets.

In 2019, Joey moved to Virginia to perform as the Innkeeper in the show "Celtic Fyre" at Busch Gardens Williamsburg. He continued his work there through the summer of 2022, both as a performer and assistant music director for four shows at the park. As assistant music director for Busch Gardens, Joey not only taught music for a wide variety of shows and show styles, he also accompanied rehearsals, wrote new harmonic lines for singers, and wrote new instrumentations for bands. His first experience with JMMD was in the spring of 2022 as a singer in “Busker Jam” and “Atomic MASSter Class,” after which he returned as vocal director for "Kringle's Karols" during the company's winter season. Joey cannot wait to work with the JMMD team and meet so many new and wonderful performers!
